Man's Immortality

Wednesday, September 14, 1927

Eternal is my lease on life,

If courage I can find to live.

My soul and mind are both in one,

And Nature but my elder self,

Of all I see I am the lord,

Including earth and stars and sea:

From time immemorial I'd been

A part of Almighty God.

He was the Other Self of me,

The All in One, and I a part.

There is no life without my own,

And there's no life without the God:

He is the Source of all you see

Divine, but I a part of Him.
