BecAuse they were born Jamaican. And that is a reflection of Jamaican culture.
If one were to live as is it on the hill then ANY digital / 'electric' music gets a fire.....including all the wailers them.
I don't fight sizzla and dem for making dancehall. I don't fight dancehall. The majority of it is conscious and trying to make a positive message no matter how small come across to the youth.
A youth who is asleep may catch onto the lyrics sizzla a talk about which may be the seed for him to eventually end up on the hill.
By the way, I'm talking in general. I am not talking about or defending slackness. But most artist that you mention - Anthony B, Fantan...- the lyric are not slack more than cultured.
