InI = Us, You and I, You all, them
I Man = (for us brethren, sistren are not I Man) Me, my, mine, I
The I = you, your, his, hers, etc.
Idren = brethren and sistren
The list is long of words that can be changed to challenge the barriers of western thought and language. Time and education will help the I to find answers. "Jamaican patois" in I opinion is where a more thoughtful approach to western language originates from, and InI should be mindful of using word sound power from another region we are from to avoid cultural appropriation or perpetuating ignorance that all Rastafari have to speak a certain way. In my community, I man don't speak using the language that Rastafari has taught I, for I have never been to Jamaica and no one in I community is from Jamaica. When I am on this forum and choosing the language I type, I prefer to be more mindful of the words I use and try to challenge Iself to break the mental barriers of damaging language. I man also know that among Idren it is preferred to dismantle Babylon language and customs to speak and think closer to JAH.
Reggae music has been I biggest teacher of righteous language. Peter Tosh and Midnite (listen to Ras Mek Peace and other albums, the song Pagan, Pay Gone) are good teachers, there are many others.
Also I give thanks Jah Cub I for the Is reasoning on capitalism and Ital livity! Yes IXPninja I live in the north too, but even in the correct season JAH provides edible plants for I free of charge!
BLESSED LOVE IDREN
