Music tears down walls between people of all backgrounds & has no boundaries. Many years ago I got hauled downstairs in the Palacio Nacional in Mexico City by a uniformed officer after I had wandered away from the palace tour group with my guitar strapped over my back. I was panicked thinking I was in serious trouble as he led me deep into the bowels of the palace underground, but when I arrived at what I thought was an interrogation room and the door was opened it turned out to be a lounge for Mexican President Echeverr�a's security detail; the detail members were lounging around smoking & cleaning their guns, and their chief was sitting behind his big wooden desk with a guitar in his hands. We traded guitar tunes back & forth and then jammed for hours!
