<"And quite frankly them argument r dead rasta..... We know haile was a Christian and read bible but he also said its up to you to judge what is real and what is not. The bible also said Ethiopia is cursed, do you believe that?">
Yes, I do.
<"Paul says wearing long hair is shameful and ungodly do you believe that?">
No, I don't. Paul didn't say that at all. That's a very mis-quoted scripture from babylon preachers. The actual passage in question: Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
(1Co 11:14)
Nature itself tells you it is NOT a shame to him at all. Look at the Lion. The long hair of the male symbolizes maleness. Anywhere in scripture that men's hair is spoken of, it speaks of locks. The Nazarite vow requires men to never cut their hair or be concerned at all of their appearance to other men. We are to please God, not man. I in I consider myself a Rasta man, yet I don't have locs yet, probably because I tie it back in a band.
<"I asked you for a none bible explanation. Quite clearly that's beyond nuff rasta.
He was Orthodox Christian not rastafari, if you a follow him like that maybe you should lef this trod and join orthodox. ">
He obviously was not like any 'orthodox' Christian I ever met.
You obviously don't understand what Rastafari even means. "Ras" means head. Halie Selassie was known as a child as Lij Tafari Makonnen. Lij translates to "child", and serves to indicate that a youth is of noble blood. His given name, Tafari, means "one who is respected or feared".
Ras Tafari IS his name.
