I am a bit confused about the lineage of Selassie I.
InI know that HIM is an ascendant of King Solomon. Now
Rasta books say that HE is the 225th king of the 3,000 years old Black Solomonic Dynasty.

I just read in a text about Ithiopia that HE was the 237. emperor
since Menelik I, the son of Solomon.

Now which lineage is right ?? do the different countings have something to do with the title of king and emperor ?

The Lineage was interrupted. Long time unitl 12somewhat the Zagwe Dynasti ruled Ethiopia. After that again the solomonic Dynastie came to power.
