Selassie I's dynasty, the Solomonic dynasty, extends all the way back back to Menelik I, the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Menelik I brought the Ark of the Covenant to Ethiopia. Haile Selassie I is the 225th descendant of this ancient dynasty.

Menelik I lived around the year 950 BC, to give Ones an idea of how old that is.
