Rastafari Economics

Post by seestem »

Greetings

One thing that our Prophet Marcus Mosiah Garvey, the great Gongoguru Maharaj (Leonard P. Howell), the Prince Emanuel and
even Kongo Watto had in common was this idea of creating our own self-sufficient economy. Organizing and centralizing.

So I and I ask:

How do we as Rastafarians create our own economy so that we do not depend on the babylon system?
What are your ideas for us to be economically emancipated?
How do we trade amongst ourself? Do we use money or barter?
How do we setup our own schools and what do we teach there?
How do we setup our own hospitals, create our own medicines?
How do we develop our own technologies, what kind of technologies do we need?
etc

Give Thanks for the topic seestem

The I posts some interesting questions that I would like to hear reasonings about

I think in some ways InI should be wary of reinventing the wheel in regards to entirely new systems. That doesn't mean InI should uphold broken or harmful systems, I just mean I think InI could increase self sufficiency using some of the infrastructure of current systems and still decrease dependencies on the babylon shytstem. I see the works of Prophet Marcus Garvey as an Isample of what I refer to. Even with the vision to create an entirely self-sufficient economy, he was going to create it with existing technology. Still babylon targeted him and crucified him. I know InI yearn to be completely separate from babylon and I see that one day InI will be able to be. Currently with the way they are searching for targets I think it might be beneficial to InI to make small moves out of sight in preparation for the right time to make big moves.
Money until paper is nothing but something to be burned
Barter amongst InI that InI trust
Schools can come in the form of places like this site and also any place InI can gather helpful information
Seek traditional ecological knowledge for healing of physical ailments coupled with a healthy rejection of babylon's poisonous food and thought patterns
Takewayknowlegies should be scrutinized to see who is actually the hand and who is the tool. Mechanical over microchip. Protection over profit margins. Harmonious over harmful.

Blessed Love Iahs

This is a vital discussion. Creating a self-sufficient economy is key for Rastafarians. One way to start is by focusing on skill-sharing and bartering within the community. What if we developed a platform, almost like the Slope Game, but for trading goods and services? Imagine our own schools teaching practical skills alongside cultural knowledge. Let's brainstorm specific industries and technologies we can develop independently. How can we leverage our existing talents?

This is a powerful call to action! It's inspiring to see a focus on self-sufficiency and building a Rastafarian-led economy. Thinking about practical steps, perhaps exploring co-operative models for businesses could be a start. Sharing skills and resources within the community is key. Maybe even developing platforms – a virtual marketplace if you will – where Rastafarians can trade goods and services. It reminds me of the passion some people have for games like Drift Hunters, completely dedicated to building something amazing within their own space. That kind of dedication applied here could be transformative.
