Hemphill: "During the Obama years, the United States repealed a longstanding propaganda ban. This ban protected the American people from the predator media monstrosity we are all well aware of today."
You need to learn about the CIA's "Operation Mockingbird " which began in the early 1950s and never stopped; just became more and more comprehensive and effective. German journalist Udo Ulfkotte blew the lid off of the extent and intensity of the CIA's manipulation of the global media, but his whistle-blowing book "Gekaufte Journalisten" (German for "Bought Journalists") was deep-sixed by the CIA before the much-anticipated English translation could be released. Propaganda didn't start six years ago. It's been intensively pursued for nearly seventy years regardless of which party occupied the White House.
It's so effective now that most everything people commonly think -- from the "Butcher" Bashar al-Assad who "gases his own people" to the "failed socialism" of Venezuelan "dictator" Nicholas Maduro -- are nothing more than fictional narratives carefully created by and distributed out of Langley via news outlets all over the planet.
We hear Hemphill's man Trump routinely and matter-of-factly refer to ISIS as if it were some kind of independent, rogue terrorist organization when the roles of U.S.-allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as the CIA, in financing, arming, training, deploying & directing the Wahhabist ISIS are well documented, even if they're not well-publicized. Trump parrots the "defeating ISIS" mantra as a justification for the continued illegal U.S. occupation of Syria when the reality of the situation is that Langley could simply call off its dogs if anyone in power really wanted ISIS to cease operations in the country. If Trump were really an iconoclast, and not simply another in a long line of neocon Establishment toadies, he'd use his bully pulpit to out the CIA's whole ISIS scam. U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and State Senator Richard Black haven't been afraid to do it, so it's not a matter of courage or cowardice; it's a matter of who Trump really serves (clue: it AIN'T The People).
