man. i know that our imaginations of rasta, christianity and the bible have clashed in the past and that there were people who told i to be less off-topic but there are some things and they really bother me. im grateful for your teachings but i originally just wanted to post some music in the music thread but mentioning it above the music links doesnt fit to me.

so i post it here because ive already mentioned that i think that culture is devoured by babylon.
i just want to write a few sentences about it. im white. but i think its even dangerous to black culture.

i always loved dancehall music. i liked gentlemans flow when i was 13. i was shocked how great the sound is i later recognized as german dancehall music. when i was 14 and ive listened to shabba for the first time i thought that this combination of "rap" and "reggae" is just perfect and when i got to know elephant man i knew that i will follow this music forever and ever. macka b has taught me some life lessons and to be honest the sound of king yellowman has accompanied me from my early teens until now. whenever i was visiting a dancehall ive lost it. i was in locations which were meant to be meeting spots for dealers and i was the only crazy white guy whos rocked the floor all night long because hes loved the music so much.
but even though i critize behaviour like this i find myself leaning on the wall in the dancehall more and more. because of the edm sound. electronic dance music. WHERE ARE THE TUNES? where are the riddims? the reggae riddims...lost. no jamaican rhythms at all anymore.

when i go to a dance and i hear the voice of buju for example im thrilled. but nowadays they play ONLY intros of great songs and then its followed by a 30 to 45 second massacre of house/ jungle/ dubstep beats and vocal samples. the dances of today are just like techno parties of the 90s. its so so sad. even great selectors play this stuff. they have to. im not a selector. im not a professional musician. not at all. but man...as a fan you know that dancehall has changed and sounds dont juggle anymore. they sound like they are on a house music sound clash with 30 second remixes one after another nobody wants to hear. i love reggae. i love dancehall. but most dances of today arent for me. but maybe thats just how time works. old ska fans must have felt this way in the mid-80s.

but what makes me wonder is how the west effect even dancehall. ARE WE WITNISSING THE MURDERATION OF DANCEHALL...A POPULAR PART OF BLACK JAMAICAN CULTURE...BY BABYLON? maybe edm music is mixing black culture with the music of rich whites to distort the music.

same thing when it comes to ganja. it is a great plant. it delivers medicine, clothes, ropes etc. you can smoke ganja as medicine, for inspiration, for appetite, for your mediation but right now babylon wants to legalize it to make money with it. main stream celebs promote behavior like smoking one spliff after the other WHILE drinking wodka and whiskey. they distort it already. and they also distort a part of black culture with it when it effect the reggae scene.

AND THATS WHERE YOGA COMES INTO PLAY AGAIN. isnt it the same thing? look at its roots in africa. and now look at this:

man, i could burn my computer into pieces.

and then there are those guys:

you see where my confusion comes from? lol

by the way...fire on youtube. i enter the page and the first row of recommendes videos are full of nude people who have explicit sex in the bedroom and even one young girl masturbating and its not a porn site its still youtube and those videos or part of the channel of "moviepilot". what are those people doing to our kids?? if you have sex on the street youll end up in jail. if youtube posts things like that for every 6 year old to see its fine.

so right now you can come and say "heyy...watch this...hes gone off-topic again. hes posted some babylon clips." please. i beg you. dont burn the guy who brings the message. burn the message. were not in rome where they used to do things like that. i just want you to know what supeficial imagination of yoga MOST PEOPLE in the west get through mass media and how its critized by the alternative media on youtube. the truth is somewhere in the middle.

just had a good laugh as ive seen what ive posted earlier. yes. give thanks, rastagodess for saying that! seen. thats why i had a few questions about it earlier.

yoga came from africa. everybody can do it. BUT, like MANY OTHER THINGS from africa, the west deals with some strange versions of it as we can see it in daily life.

so you can follow the programm of a pro wrestler like in video 1, you can drink a whole heap of cocktails and use yoga centers as a strange meeting spot like in video 2, you can pray and meditate for "a nice shape of your legs and butt" like in video 3 but we can agree that this is not what yoga is really ALL about.

video 4 is made by a hardcore christian. i think we all can agree that yoga is something for your spirit as well. to feel good all around. but you have to make your own experiences and see what EVERYBODY, especially the ones who actually do it, have to say about it.

buttom line: THE WEST DISTORTS AFRICAN CULTURE in my humble opinion. if you want to do some yoga do it but its the best to me if you actually know what you are doing so just listen to people who do it properly like rastagodess.

Seeing Yoga as the act of physically entering certain poses is a falsehood.

Greetings, love and light to all kings and queens, princes and princesses. Iman find yoga a stupid thing and a waste of time, sitting and forcing oneself into higher consciousness, I believe and know that JAHOVIA will set his spirit upon whoever He's pleased with and whichever time he likes. One cant force the spirit of Jah upon himself. Through my life, I have found burning incence with prayers and songs of praise a perfect thanksgiving unto the most high. Not once have I seen in the bible anyone practicing yoga. Neither did Selassie I nor Imanuel I nor Marcus I do it. RASTAFARI

Blessed love. With all the archeological findings of huge chalices(bongs) found in Ethiopia and egypt, I come to realize, in ancient african tradition, meditation is burning the herb, marijuana, a lot of it, in a big chalice, and beating drums. Also burning a spliff whenever I&I have time

Jah Love be with one and all.

Idren John...
If the I dont yet realize that yoga originates in Afrika, try the link that my Lord Black Christ Salvation has shared.
And do not claim to I that Haile Selassie I did or does not study yoga. Because this is an unfounded statement. There are many sources one can read, such as The Emperor (1989), and it is largely agreed and not disputed that His Majesty practiced yoga daily.
I pity your lack of Overstanding about Yoga because I know that practicing yoga has many benefits to offer. But if one chooses not to partake of the benefits that is a personal loss, I cannot do anything about that choice, I can only choose otherwise for Iself.
Guidance of the Most I!
