Greetings,

In haile selassie coronation photo he has his ears covered with something. I started to consider the everyday life when we are living and meditating, people will say things that have no significance or use or even degrading! I think by this symbol, he is blocking outside people voices and just focusing on God's word and his trod in life. To I it looks like a flap that's an extension of HIS crown, perhaps its the design style of the crown from a particular era, but honestly, I don't know.
