Greetings!

who's word is one going to keep if he does not keep the word of the emperor? My deception alarm goes of.

trustworthy? not in my eyes.

Rastafari lives for ever and ever, I doubt this man ever met him though.

Rastafari!

It is interesting to hear but I too suspect deception. The man makes mention of Empress Menen when he talks about meeting King Selassie I in the 1980s for a start. Iman also doubt that England would have sheltered His Majesty, especially in secret after 1975.
I have come across other sources about Mis Majesty studying yoga but this man I suspect to be a deciever.

Blessed love.

I also had some suspicions about his the validity of his claim, I posted it to see what the I them thought about it.

I have never heard of this meeting with Selassie I before, although I have heard that Selassie I practiced yoga.

Greetings...

I was wondering what the response would be to this video (on this site). I had watched this video a few weeks prior to this posting and knew it was only a matter of time.

I'd never heard of Yograj before this video appeared on youtube, and I have no way of vouching for his character aside from what I've now read about him online, which is fairly benign. I can't figure out what his motive would be for telling a lie. He is a Yogi that has approached also a western audience, aside form Yogic austerities he seems to be offering what he saw as a very important moment in his life. I can't find him tied to Rastafari as a movement except that he claims ties with His Majesty. I haven't found any signs of great success to Yograj's book, and am not sure what, besides telling a fantastic story, Yograj has to gain from this. He's not really presenting a story that is going to enable him much further ability to elaborate on what he's already said, unlike that other video which leaves the door wide open.

I do think it's very plausible that had His Majesty left Ethiopia in 1975, then England would be a likely place to stay for a minute. There is a major error in the story when he refers to His Majesty and the Queen, and it may just be a man telling a story from 30 years ago and getting it twisted, but it raises an eyebrow. So why would he make it up? It's either a yes its true, or no it's totally made up. What does the I think?

I'd be very interested in hearing the opinions of others.

Selam

There are a few things to question here. To take a few:

-As it's been said, Empress Menen.
-He was told to keep the meeting a secret.
-Didn't he say that the Emperor deliberatly was trying to fool his people by the 1975-story.
-What murderer is he talking about. The man in the LN didn't shoot nobody, at least not there.
-the LN story again, have anyone heard of that event before. If not, very strange. Why not use a valid story instead, as if there is a shortage of HIM wonders, over a farytale.
-One common reason to lie is to cover up another lie and when most men lie, why wouldn't the yogi.
-Didn't he imply that the Emperor had good sleep because of him. Promoting his yogatecnic. Yoga is a nice tool but also commercial buissness. Millions of dollars to be made.
-And also, "pierced through his heart". On top of all other things that is just to much for I.

With this said I do not say he didn't meet HIM but it is very questionable and also with this said, I have not said HIM did not praise yoga or eastern science because HIM did in fact, at least that's how I read HIM speech to Rahdakrishnan:

"Were the thoughts of Plato and Socrates, the beliefs of Christianity and Judaism not harmonized with Hindu philosophy; were Yoga and its various stages not exposed to Western thought; had Western religion and philosophy not been exposed to the philosophy and religion of the East through Your Excellency's persistent endeavour, how much the poorer would human thought have been!" Haile Selassie I, Oct 13, 1965

I might have a too suspicios eye here but I came across this clip when a "Rasta" posted this video on a reggaeboard with the title, "Wasn't this what we Rastas always said" and I find that to be untrue. Rastafari know Rastafari lives but I have never heard of HIM meeting with this yogi until now and all details in the clip are not what "Rasta have always said".

To sum up, the meeting could be true, with some faults in the story but it can also be a lie. So it's up for speculation and to me the yogis meeting with Selassie I is totally inrelevant for I faith in HIM and I don't want to carry a speculative story or even less a lie to promote his Majesty being alive or Mighty or Worthy or Rightous or whatever. I and I know Jah Rastafari is all these things without these "proofs" so the video is not for I and I so I and I should not promote it. That's my 2 cents.

Jah Lives and reigns in all hearts
Rastafari

Nordman,

I agree with the I that whether or not the meeting took place it is irrelevant to I Faith and I Know that Haile Selassie I Lives and Reigns.
